I became really spoiled through Malaya's pregnancy...was able to eat ANYTHING I wanted ANYTIME of the day. I let myself get all big and plump of 165 lbs!!! And now that she's out, I've noticed that Jacob's gotten skinnier and I've stayed pretty much the same. While he's out working hard everyday, I'm home making lavish lunches and not sharing. ;p
BAD JAMIE!!!! None of my old pants fit yet...and yeah, she's only 2 months old. but i've been telling myself its time to get back on my bike and start budgeting.
This is object MORE MONEY...LESS FAT
We started last month observing our food budget...just simply observing where our money normally goes. That month was VERY revealing. YIKES...we spent over 800$ on food alone. SCARY!!! So this month we made an SERIOUS effort to cut back...and we're still somewhere around 750. So with that in mind, I"ve started "meal planning" something I"ve never really done before...but need to. I've become that meticulously organized martha stewart type who has the dry erase board with all the meals, chores and activities planned out for the week. I've even got the short haircut to match. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?? LOL
I used to make fun of people like me..."where's your spontaneity?"
but I think now its just what happens when you have to juggle more than one child around throughout the day. you NEED organization to make sure everyone's needs are met.
and budgeting. :(
NOPE
I don't like it one bit....
but it DOES force some creativity.
all those late night cravings are replaced with water or tea.
all those 12$lb salmon meals, replaced with canned salmon
all those things like ice cream, soda, expensive bread; replaced by homemade yummies instead.
(last week we made some seriously yummy organic PB and cocoa rice krispy treats which I won't complain about)
and all this budgeting for what you ask?
TO GET OUT OF SARASOTA!!!!
We have our sights set on next year.
Last night was my first night on my bike since I was 3 months pregnant. We pumped up the tires, put Malaya in the Ergo and went in circles around the neighborhood until our little Fussy Mcfussface told me she wanted no more. and then...back to the sendentary life of nursing and computer. SOON...soon she will start to enjoy those bike rides...as will my butt which needs some blood flow. It was smiling from those 15 minutes of excercise. Banyan was thrilled to have someone to chase him around on his tricycle.
ah kidoos wake...gots to go!!!
